This privacy policy explains what data the Deals365 browser extension ("the Extension") collects, why it collects it, and how it is used. It applies to the Deals365 extension available on Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Apple Safari.

2. What the Extension does

The Deals365 browser extension is designed to help you find deals and savings while you browse online. Its core features are:

• Detecting when you are on a supported retailer website and checking whether Deals365 has a verified deal or voucher code for that retailer or product
• Displaying available deals, price comparisons and voucher codes via a browser toolbar popup
• Allowing you to save deals to your Deals365 account directly from any page
• Notifying you when a price drops on a product you have saved

3. What data the Extension collects

3.1 Data collected automatically

To provide its core functionality, the Extension accesses the following:

• Current page URL: The Extension reads the URL of the page you are currently viewing to determine whether Deals365 has a relevant deal or voucher code for that website or product. URLs are checked against the Deals365 database but are not stored permanently on our servers.
• Retailer domain: The domain name of the site you are visiting (e.g. currys.co.uk) is used to look up applicable deals. The domain is not linked to your browsing history.
• Product price on page: Where the Extension can detect a product price on a supported retailer page, it reads that price to enable price comparison. This data is used in real time and not stored.

3.2 Data collected if you are logged in

If you are signed into your Deals365 account via the Extension:

• Your Deals365 account identifier (not your email or password) is stored locally in the extension to maintain your login session
• Deals you save via the Extension are associated with your account
• Price alert preferences you set via the Extension are stored in your Deals365 account

3.3 Data we do not collect

The Extension does not:

• Read or store the full content of any web page you visit
• Track your browsing history
• Access pages on websites that are not supported retailers
• Collect any financial information, passwords or form data
• Use your data for advertising targeting
• Share any data with third parties for their own marketing purposes

4. Permissions the Extension requests

The Extension requests the following browser permissions:

• activeTab: Allows the Extension to read the URL and content of the currently active tab when you click the Extension icon. It does not run in the background on pages you are not actively viewing.
• storage: Used to store your login session and preferences locally in your browser so you do not need to log in each time.
• notifications: Used to display browser notifications when a price drops on a product you are watching. You can disable notifications at any time through your browser settings.
• Host permissions (supported retailer domains): The Extension is permitted to run on a defined list of supported UK retailer websites (such as amazon.co.uk, currys.co.uk, johnlewis.com etc). It does not run on any other websites.

5. How your data is used

Data accessed by the Extension is used solely for the following purposes:

• Checking whether Deals365 has a relevant deal or voucher code for the page you are viewing
• Displaying deal and price comparison information in the Extension popup
• Maintaining your login session between browser sessions
• Sending price drop notifications for products you are watching

URL and domain data used for deal lookups is processed in real time and is not retained on our servers beyond the immediate request.

6. Data sharing

We do not sell your data. Data accessed by the Extension is not shared with third parties except:

• With the Deals365 platform itself (operated by Park Drive Investments Limited) to provide the Extension's core features
• Where required by law or a valid legal request from a UK authority

The Extension does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising or tracking services.

7. Data retention

Login session data stored locally in your browser is retained until you log out or uninstall the Extension. No browsing data is retained on our servers beyond the immediate deal lookup request.

If you have a Deals365 account, data associated with your account (such as saved deals and price alerts set via the Extension) is subject to the data retention terms in the main Deals365 Privacy Policy.

8. Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to processing of your data
• Withdraw consent at any time

9. Security

Communication between the Extension and the Deals365 platform is encrypted using HTTPS. Your Deals365 account credentials are never stored by the Extension — only a session token is stored locally, which can be invalidated by logging out.

10. How to remove the Extension and your data

You can uninstall the Extension at any time through your browser's extension management page. Uninstalling the Extension removes all locally stored session data from your browser.

To request deletion of any account data associated with Extension use, contact us at legal@deals365.co.uk or use the 'Delete My Account' option in your Deals365 account settings.

11. Children

The Extension is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always available at deals365.co.uk/extension-privacy-policy . Significant changes will be communicated via the Extension itself or by email to registered users.
